The 11th China and Globalization Forum, co-organized by the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) and the Center for China & Globalization (CCG), opened in Beijing on May 22. The Forum features a distinguished lineup of government officials, foreign diplomats, think tank leaders, business executives, and academic experts.

Launched by CCG in 2015, the annual Forum has become a key platform for global dialogue. Over the course of two days from May 22-23, the Forum hosted seven engaging panel discussions that explore a range of themes, including China-U.S., China-EU, and China-Middle East relations, the trade war, and global governance and multilateralism in uncertain times.

James Chau, President of CUSEF, delivered a welcome speech at the opening session, emphasizing that the Forum serves as a platform “not just for dialogue, but for honest confrontation of our shared challenges: geopolitical division, economic fragmentation, and growing uncertainty about the global future."

He further noted that no nation can achieve lasting success in isolation. “The very challenges that divide us also leave our futures deeply intertwined — a reminder that sustainable progress requires us to recognize our collective responsibility to confront these obstacles, ultimately for the well-being of all humanity," said James Chau.

The opening session also featured keynote speeches from distinguished guests, including Amb. Zhang Jun, Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia; H.E. Kyung-wha Kang, President of the Asia Society; and Amb. Declan Kelleher, Chair of the European Policy Centre (EPC) and former Irish Ambassador to China.
