CUSEF sponsored its 11th U.S.-China High-Level Security Dialogue in 2017, partnering with the EastWest Institute to lead a delegation of senior U.S. experts to Beijing. The delegation engaged in a series of talks with scholars, military representatives and Chinese officials including Minister Wang Yi, Vice Minister Zheng Zeguang of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China and Vice Minister Guo Yezhou of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The dialogue covered a range of political, military and geopolitical issues such as the impact of domestic factors on U.S.-China relations, Asia-Pacific security, North Korea issue, globalization and trade and economic issues.
