CUSEF Virtual Mandarin Course
Registration is Now Open for Fall 2022!
Online Classes begin September 16, 2022!
CUSEF’s Virtual Mandarin Course is designed for total beginners, with classes led by an experienced professor from Beijing Foreign Studies University. Upon completing the 12 classes, you will be able to manage the basic pronunciation of 150 commonly used Chinese characters and learn 20 key grammar points that meet the basic linguistic level necessary for communication.
To further enhance the learning experience, Chinese student ambassadors will attend the course to provide additional support to the students by reviewing the materials in small groups and practicing new communication techniques.
At the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to present what you have learned to the rest of your classmates. Click here to watch the student presentations from last semester!
The course will run from September 16 – December 2, 2022
Classes are every Friday from 7:30 -9:00 PM EST

Students who finish the course, fulfill the above terms, and pass the final course evaluation will receive an official Certificate from CUSEF and Beijing Foreign Studies University. In addition, students will have the chance to win the following awards:
1. Top Achievers Award:· The top three students with the highest grades who actively engage during classes and tutorials will be awarded Amazon Cash Vouchers valued at U $150, US$100 and US$50 respectively.
2. Top Presenters Award:· This will be awarded to the group that delivers the best final presentation at the end of the course.
