On April 12, the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University hosted the U.S.-China Forum. Dr. Shao Yuqun, director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao Studies and senior fellow at the Center for American Studies, Shanghai Institute for International Studies (SIIS), attended the forum at the invitation of the China-United States Exchange Foundation.
The event, titled “Stabilizing China-U.S. Relations: A Discussion with Dr. Shao Yuqun,” featured discussions between Dr. Shao; Andrew Mertha, director of the SAIS China Global Research Center and a professor of China studies; and David Bulman, assistant professor of China Studies and International Affairs at SAIS. Through thoughtful dialogues with the faculty and students, the event played a significant role in enhancing mutual understanding and trust between China and the United States.
