The faculty at Georgetown provides a theme for the trip and CUSEF will work with CPAFFC to arrange meetings according to the interests. This program enables students to discuss current hot issues with government officials, scholars, professors, businesspeople, and their Chinese counterparts. The students engage in robust discussions with High-level government offices such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office for International Military Cooperation of Central Military Commission, Shanghai Institute for International Studies, Fudan University’s and Xiamen. Furthermore, the students also explored multiple historical and cultural attractions in China, including the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Gulangyu Island, the Shanghai Bund, Pearl T.V. Tower, Guizhou Qiyan Ancient Town and more. This experience encourages the participants to further develop their understanding and awareness of Chinese culture, history, and opportunities within China.
